Job Summary
The cook is responsible for assisting in all areas of planning and preparing meals for resident's within each individual's certain dietary needs. Meals should be prepared with resident's preferences in mind.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in planning and preparing all meals in conjunction with the kitchen supervisor and/or manager while following all the specific dietary needs of the current population at White Birch.
- Meals are an important part of an elderly person's day, not only for nutrition, but for quality of life. They shall be prepared while keeping these points in mind.
- Keeps kitchen and dining area clean and in compliance with all inspections.
- Cooking cleaning and dishwashing are apart of all kitchen positions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Cooking experience and the ability to follow a recipe are required.
- Applicants must be willing to work every other weekend and some holidays.
