As a Banquet Server you will provide timely and courteous service to all banquet guests, encouraging the guest to return and facilitate outstanding banquet experiences. You will serve food and beverages at banquet functions in a timely manner and in a dynamic team-focused environment!
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Embody the values + guiding principles of Hotel Drover
- Ability to manage multiple functions and deliver results in a demanding, fast paced environment
- Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders while acting as an extension of the Hotel Drover brand
- Provide guests with excellent customer service and accommodate any needs for reasonable special requests.
- Bus and set tables, including condiments as needed.
- Prepare room for events (set tablecloths, dishes, silverware as needed).
- Serve guests food and drinks during events as required.
- Be able to answer questions related to buffet or menu.
- Lead yourself based on the details and support given from Banquet Captain, Lead Server or Banquet Manager.
- Other duties may be assigned by supervisor.
- Follow uniform and grooming specifications.
- Communicate with support crew and management.
MUST HAVES:
- Passion for creating an amazing experience for our clients and guests
- Strong knowledge of Food and Wine
- Creative thinking and strategic skills
- Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building abilities; passion for collaboration
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience as a banquet server
- TABC Certification completed prior to training
- Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
- The team member is required to perform all necessary duties of the job. The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
