Description

The Sheraton Greensboro/Joseph S. Koury Convention Center is now seeking a Sous Chef for its high volume banquet kitchen.

This position will:
  • Help lead the banquet kitchen staff to produce top quality meals with an eye for presentation
  • Maintain a strong safety culture
  • Assist and provide coaching on the line
  • Produce high-quality plates, considering both design and taste.
  • Oversee and supervise the kitchen staff.
  • Assist with inventory and supply management.
  • Keeps stations clean and comply with food safety standards.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of high volume Sous Chef experience.
  • Must be able to execute high quality, high volume food production consistently with an emphasis on presentation.
  • Should be able to assist with teaching and training staff to prepare and present with the highest of standards.
  • Job requires attention to detail, ongoing innovative staff training, creativity, food cost control, and organizational skills.
  • Will work to promote and maintain a strong safety culture
