DescriptionThe Sheraton Greensboro/Joseph S. Koury Convention Center is now seeking a Sous Chef for its high volume banquet kitchen.
This position will:
- Help lead the banquet kitchen staff to produce top quality meals with an eye for presentation
- Maintain a strong safety culture
- Assist and provide coaching on the line
- Produce high-quality plates, considering both design and taste.
- Oversee and supervise the kitchen staff.
- Assist with inventory and supply management.
- Keeps stations clean and comply with food safety standards.
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment.
Requirements- The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of high volume Sous Chef experience.
- Must be able to execute high quality, high volume food production consistently with an emphasis on presentation.
- Should be able to assist with teaching and training staff to prepare and present with the highest of standards.
- Job requires attention to detail, ongoing innovative staff training, creativity, food cost control, and organizational skills.
- Will work to promote and maintain a strong safety culture
