Job Description
We seek a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Staff Worker to prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children in a licensed child care facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy kitchen environment while adhering to all regulatory agency guidelines and regulations. Responsibilities: Prepare all meals and snacks following issued menus and directives. Keep accurate records including inventory and production records. Comply with all CACFP and state regulations and guidelines. Comply with all regulatory agency guidelines and regulations. Wash kitchenware and tableware. Keep kitchen, appliances, etc. clean, sanitized, and in good working condition. Complete accurate food order requests Inventory food supply, reporting food supply needs to the Director. Report to the Director any maintenance or non-food supply needs in the kitchen. Properly store food and non-food supplies upon delivery. Keep all food items stored properly and at the appropriate temperature. Date all food items. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent plus professional experience in food service and/or nutrition. Preferred: five years professional experience in food service and/or nutrition. Physical and Mental Demands: Ability to lift 40 pounds. Ability to reach over head. Good personal hygiene (clean clothes, hair, hands, nails, etc.). Ability to bend down. Ability to follow state regulations Ability to read and understand all documents. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to remain calm in crisis situations.
