Description The All-In Hospitality Group is dedicated to providing world-class premium services and delivering unique experiences to Smith Entertainment Group (SEG) VIP guests. The Host/Server position is responsible for greeting, seating, serving and creating positive and professional interactions with guests throughout all Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club (Utah HC) home games. Specific assignments will be determined by the host's direct supervisor at the time of hire and are subject to change from event to event. Expected hours will vary depending on the game schedule and specific host location assignments. This is a full-time seasonal position and is expected to begin with a MANDATORY training upon hire. This seasonal position will continue throughout the duration of the Utah Jazz/Utah HC home games (post season included). DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Be prepared and willing to work in a variety of premium areas as needed to support the team and guests appropriately Exhibit a positive and happy attitude that is friendly and contagious to those around you Present yourself in a confident and professional manner in both appearance and personality Warmly welcome guests as they arrive for pre-game dinner, half-time amenities and post game services. Be knowledgeable and familiar with the arena, premium seating location and your specific assigned area to best assist guests Ensure your assigned area is properly prepared and ready for guests to arrive Exemplify All-In Hospitality Standards at all times Embrace a culture of inclusion and diversity where guests and team members feel welcomed, valued, and heard Enrich lives by creating winning experiences and timeless memories Operate with an emphasis on safety for employees, teams, and guests Be knowledgeable about food safety, how to store and serve food Be knowledgeable on how to prepare coffee to achieve specific flavors and textures Be knowledgeable about different types of coffee, brewing methods, and flavor profiles Other duties as assigned COMPETENCIES: Communicates effectively - Develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of two (2) years of service industry/hospitality experience required Minimum of two (2) years of service barista experience strongly preferred. Must be available four (4) hours before each pre, regular, and postseason Utah Jazz/Utah HC home game and throughout the remainder of each game Must be available to attend 2-3 training sessions in November/December. Must possess and maintain excellent communication skills. Must be able to enforce suite rules in a pleasant and agreeable manner Must be punctual, groomed, and dressed in uniform for a professional environment Must pass background check and drug screening PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally. This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess. This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time. This person must be able to lift 30 lbs.
