Job Description The Barista Lead crafts a memorable experience for our customers by providing timely service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable location environment. The Barista Lead is responsible for helping train Baristas, processing transactions on the register/POS, following recipes to prepare coffees and beverages per specifications, and maintaining the coffee bar while delivering excellent customer service and meeting food safety policies. Job Responsibilities Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs Prepare and serve coffees, teas, specialty beverages per brand standards Prepares and serve food items in line with location standards Train and guide staff members in coffee and food preparation, customer service, cash handling, product knowledge and other processes and procedures May schedule and delegate work assignments to team and coordinate the completion of tasks for the location Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions. Job Overview The Lead Food Sales Associate supports the Restaurant Manager in running an efficient, professional, safe and profitable food operation following all company standards. Primary responsibility is to sell food items by providing caring hospitality and service using product knowledge and sampling. Essential Functions Follows and ensure team follows Food Division Standards and Best Practices Demonstrate a positive role model for Magic Selling During shift, provides leadership and directs associates in providing craveable food products and service Assist in accountability for sales, expenses and bottom-line profits Follows Food Division merchandising, product presentations and signing standards Ensure team meets speed of service standards Monitor food quality by completing A.M. and P.M. line checks Support a strong working relationship with store management Provide on-going training, feedback, coaching, and staff motivation to all associates to maximize team performance and satisfaction Maintain role model standards in grooming, professional appearance and communications Meet highest standards of workplace safety, sanitation, and equipment care as set by Health Department and company policy Utilize forecasts, daily sales reports and weekly food cost and payroll reports to ensure monthly profit/loss goals are met Assist in preparation and production of all menu items Assist in ordering food, beverage, dry and paper goods based budget and needs of the business Assist with food inventories following Inventory Best Practices to ensure they are taken on a timely and accurate basis to ensure targeted food and liquor costs are maintained Assist in product receiving Perform other duties as needed Qualifications and Competencies 1 Year of Experience Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays Physical Requirements Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling and stooping Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs FOODS00 This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
